Clothing & Supplies for Foster Children

Transcript: Who can help? My solution: I was recently made aware of this issue when my friend started going through the process of becoming a foster parent & mentioned that she was going to start stocking up on all sizes of clothes and supplies so she can try to be prepared for any age child. I think that the situation is jarring enough for both the foster child and the foster parents and more help should be provided at the time the child arrives at the home. these children have been through enough - the least we can do is make sure they have more than the clothes on their backs when they arrive at a new home. Clothing & Supplies for Foster Children What's the problem? A child can arrive at a foster home at anytime of the day or night, some with only the clothes on their back. It is up to the foster parents to quickly procure the proper supplies to care for the child like clothes, hygiene products, diapers, formula, etc. A clothing and supplies bank for foster children. local schools and churches to hold clothing/diaper drives & fund raisers local businesses to donate supplies or to become sponsors DCF & Community Based Care of Central Florida to ensure foster parents are aware of us and/or to organize a way we can send supplies with the child Imagine getting a call at two in the morning that you will have a three month old in your care by seven AM . Why it is important to me: I would contact: A place foster parents or DCF can come get supplies they need for foster children at no cost to them. Free 'starter kits' for all age children including several appropriate outfits, hygiene products, and baby needs.
